Each year, The Sage School’s Lower School Halloween Parade fills our campus with excitement as Beginners through Grade 4 students show off their creative costumes in a festive march around campus. This beloved tradition brings together our community, with Upper School students and teachers sharing treats and cheering as our Lower School students “trick or treat” along the way.
This year, we extended the Halloween spirit by inviting parents to join the celebration. Dressed in costumes of their own, parents enjoyed cheering on the parade and joined in on Halloween-themed crafts and activities afterward.
The parade day kicked off with coffee and donuts for families and the unveiling of our pumpkin carving contest entries, an event started by Mr. Gorea that reflects our students’ love for both art and math. The pumpkins were adorned with creativity and a mix of mediums; some showcased painted and marker-drawn designs, while others were carved with intricate math symbols like pi. One especially playful pumpkin was carved to look as if it were taking a bite out of a smaller pumpkin—a crowd favorite for its originality and humor!
Events like this showcase The Sage School’s community spirit, giving students a chance to celebrate together across grade levels and providing parents a window into the lively school culture that makes Sage so unique.
We’re incredibly grateful for our enthusiastic parent community, whose participation added a new level of excitement to this tradition. From the creative costumes and pumpkin designs to the warm conversations shared over coffee, this year’s Halloween celebration was one to remember. Thank you to everyone who made the day unforgettable—your energy and support are what make traditions like these so meaningful at The Sage School!
